Skin to Skin in the First Hour after Birth offers a detailed discussion of the nine stages baby’s exhibit during the first hour (as identified by Ann-Marie Widstrom) including some footage of babies in hospital and interviews with health professionals. It is intended for educating staff on skin to skin and how to implement this safely in their hospital. There is a short film explaining in detail how to safely have baby skin to skin after a caesarean that will be particularly useful for theatre staff.
