Inducing Labour provides answers to questions that women commonly ask about induction in order to enable women to make informed choices.
The book is divided into three sections:
- The first section explains what induction involves
- The second sections helps women decide what is right for them when making decisions about induction. This section is also aimed at health professionals and others providing support to women when guiding them through the decision making process, enabling them to understand the risks and benefits of induction and the full range of alternatives.
- The final section provides a summary and discussion of research evidence, or lack of it. This section looks at all the possibilities for when medical induction is or may be used, or indeed avoided.
The book includes references and an index.
