International Clients
The most convenient means of purchasing items online is with a credit card (Mastercard
or Visa). Because of the extra paperwork for international shipping, you
will also pay a handling charge of $4 for orders up to $200 and $8 for
orders over $200.
PRICING
Prices are quoted in Australian dollars and include 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST),
not payable when goods are sent outside Australia. The GST will be
deducted automatically when you provide your address on the order page.
However, to calculate the GST price yourself as you browse, simply
multiply the price by 10 and divide by 11. For instance, $55 will be $50
for orders sent out of Australia.
Prices are subject to change without notice because of exchange rate variations and price changes imposed by suppliers at any time.
INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE
We are unable to provide details on the individual cost for each item on the
website. However, you might find it useful to check the International Parcel
charges at Australia Post.
Capers charges handling fees on all international orders (see above) and all
orders over $50 are insured at the client's expense (see below).
INSURANCE
Items sent to international clients will be insured at the clients'
expense if the value of the order is more than $50 (Australian). The
rate is a basic charge of $5.75 plus $2.10 per $100 value, or part
thereof. For orders less than $50 value, we will insure on request.
Insurance is not available to all countries. If uninsured items are lost
in transit to overseas addresses, CAPERS will not replace items or reimburse
clients. CUSTOMS
There may be local charges when goods are imported into other countries,
particularly on orders over a specific amount. Many items would not be
subject to these additional costs as they are Educational or printed
materials, but clients should make their own inquiries with the Customs
department.
